The best place to grab all my latest news is on my social media channels or by signing up to my newsletter. But occassionally I remember to pop in and update this section of my website!

March 2020

The Forgotten Village won the Katie Fforde Debut Romantic Novel of the Year 2020!

Huge thanks to the anonymous readers and judges of the Romantic Novel of the Year Awards 2020 run by the RNA (Romantic Novelists’ Association). They voted The Forgotten Village the winner! I was blown away on the night and I still am. I’m so pleased my debut impressed enough people to get into the shortlist, let alone be crowned the winner. It was against an intensely strong line up of other gorgeous debut novels. I’m still in shock.

It’s Awards Season!

The Forgotten Village won the RNA Joan Hessayon Award!

I am not the best at updating this section of my website, I’ll confess! But it’s always nice to be able to shout about awards. Back in September, (I know, I know), I won the Romantic Novelists’ Association Joan Hessayon Award for New Writers. The competition was tough as the nominees are all those who have graduated from the RNA’s fantastic New Writer’s Scheme with their debut novel. I cried. (Very Gwyneth Paltrow of me.) And my speech was terrible because of all the crying. But I got to bring home a shiny silver trophy with my name engraved. I’m its custodian until September 2020 when I get to hand it on to the next lucky winner, when hopefully my handover speech will be less teary than my winner’s speech.

RNA Katie Fforde Debut Romantic Novel Award

I’m on the shortlist for this absolutely wonderful award for The Forgotten Village. The competition is equally as fierce as the Joan Hessayon Award but I’ve bought a posh frock and will be all dressed up with somewhere to go on awards night in March.

January 2020

What a crazy few months it’s been. The Forgotten Village has now sold in excess of 150,000 copies! And sat in the Kindle Top 100 for four months. Amazing times.

My second novel The Forbidden Promise has a release date of March 19 for paperback, ebook and audiobook. It’s set in the beautiful Scottish Highlands.

Meanwhile, I’m half way through writing Book 3 and am off to to visit a few wonderful locations for research in a couple of weeks. It will be cold, wet and dreary at this time of year. I actually am incredibly excited!
